A cold, wet and generally gloomy morning invited me to linger on the meditation cushion, embracing the doubts and confusion mirrored on the raindrops creating puddles in the street. Deciding to paint/meditate, I entered the studio and chanting OM AH HUM, the healing purification mantra I began allowing the beautiful blue to caress the canvas becoming lighter and lighter toward the top, where I sprayed alcohol to invite luminosity. The white playful shapes in the middle represent OM and the purification of the physical; the shining red dots are for AH and the purification of the speech, and blue is for HUM. The actual Tibetan script syllable depicted in bright blue is representative of the calm and peace that arises in our hearts when we experience the bliss of unconditional love and surrender to the here and now. The energy of love, bliss, joy and peace are embedded in the painting. Installing it in your favorite spot will henceforth broadcast this energy to the entire dwelling and positively affect its occupants.
