Wu Wei 2

It took me three months of daily contemplation to understand and integrate what this painting is teaching me. The images, its colors and textures helped me look back, embrace the past with compassion, and calm the negative mind chatter that kept me from accepting that I am a divine being destined to add great value to the world.

There is light and clarity behind the turquoise-colored strokes on the canvas, expressing my embrace of the hardships and my willingness to transform them into power centers. In the white snowy lines and the flying tree branches I sense the peace I cultivate in the process of painting. The love that the inner peace generates, allows me to offer the artworks as a tool for others to learn from, and when the art positively affects the environment where it is installed, it provides joy for the maker and the viewers alike.

My obstacles and shortcomings offer the many gifts I share with my students in intuitive painting classes, and in the interiors I coach my clients to create, I invite everyone to flow with grace and ease, no matter what is happening.

When I look at the painting, it shows me that I learned to not interfere with the flow of life. Through silence and meditation, I constantly practice the presence that allows me to flow like water, or yield to the wind like a blade of grass, or sway like the branches of an ancient tree. This is the essence of the Chinese syllables Wu Wei; effortless action.

Everyone can learn to accept all that comes as gifts, depicted in the painting as ruby crystals. The jewels always show up when we need them, simply because we are all divine beings destined to add great value to the world!
