Textures of Life #2
The mixed media painting depicts my “tapestry”. It is the fabric I wove as I grew, experienced life, matured and flowed. It is made up of how I interpreted what I encountered and that defined my life story.
There are stubborn stains, rough threads and magnificent jewels. It depicts people and situations that provided growing experiences. Some are still present while others have faded away. Some experiences were difficult, and some flowed with ease and grace. Yet the lens I chose to view my life is as a rich tapestry, appreciating it all as unfolding for me, and allowing me to feel happy and peaceful no matter what appears.
Making Textures of Life #2 yours and beholding it will help you look at your life and ponder what you have created and how it defines your present. Like any fabric, your story can be redefined-you could make a tablecloth!-if you decide to look at its textures as rich and luxurious and are curious to see what story you can now weave.
