Wu Wei is the Chinese philosophy that emphasizes living in harmony with the Dao-the natural order of the universe, and it roughly translates as effortless action. It is closely aligned with the principle of yin and yang, the symbol representing balance and harmony.
The Dao’s way means being in the flow of life by encouraging simplicity, humility, and compassion as a means of achieving a harmonious relationship with nature and self.
Wu Wei does not take a willy nilly approach to life. Effortless action flows from an enlightened well of wisdom that demands presence, it asks that we take full responsibility for our thoughts, beliefs and behaviors, and look at life situations without attachments or aversions.
Shifting my life into full alignment with my creative process was not easy!
Over the past year, I decided to simplify my life by letting go, with love and kindness, of people, places and things that were no longer mutually enriching. I allowed myself to see chaos as possibilities and replaced deep fear with faith.
In the process of painting my new life, I placed trust in my heart-mind and its wisdom, I also honored my gifts, skills and talents to guide me in navigating the waters of life as it presented itself.
In the end, I found the new home I consistently visualized, and it turned out to be actually better than I envisioned, I feel happy I am healthy and I am loved. I lead a well-lived life!
