Divine Nurture
This painting began with excitement and hopes for wonderful gifts. It was the day before my birthday. However, the following day turned out to be quite difficult, yet soon yielded a marvelous gift.
It could have been the yellow gold strokes that easily flowed onto the white canvas reminding me that I was safe. It could have been the reds that blended into yellow to create orange, or the wide brush laden with teal blue and brought the undulating shapes on the bottom, telling me that all would be alright. In retrospect, the scumbled magenta gradation on the upper right should have forecasted that a higher power was at work.
All I can say is that I was able to complete the painting by adding the “trees” as symbols of growth, trust and forgiveness, and depicting the earth as the always nurturing female, after a pretty devastating situation with a loved one.
Because, when we next met, intending to lovingly heal the relationship, we were both able to assert that the seemingly horrible event was in fact, a marvelous gift. We felt Divinely Nurtured by what occurred.
Thus, the painting vibrates with all the things I described, excitement, hope, difficulties that are actually gifts, change, growth, trust, forgiveness, love and of course, Divine Nurture. When you install the original or prints, the art will always remind that all is well and that the Universe always has your back.
By the way, the original comes with additional gifts. Ask me about it!
